I interviewed three times. The first interview was with the banking manager and regional manager, second interview was with HR and the third was with senior VP of director retail. The third interview was the hardest. He asked very tough questions and came off very condescending at times. I found out during this interview that he was looking for people on LinkedIn to apply for these positions that needed to be filled. He found me on LinkedIn and I sincerely thought he asked me to apply because he thought I would be a great fit. I was obviously wrong. For each interview I asked when I would hear back and each time they would say that I would hear back within a week. One week turned into three weeks and never heard back. I emailed the recruiter and ended up being ghosted. I ended up finding out that they promoted from within and that the banking center manager was on his way out. He is currently open to work according to his status on social media. It looks as if I ended up dodging a bullet here. I had an outstanding first interview. I asked why this position was being filled and it was because the previous employee was promoted. The banking center manager and regional manager looked very happy to be working for TCB. The woman who interviewed me in HR seemed very ecstatic in her role. Bottom line is this: three interviews is excessive, especially for a role that has absolutely no sales goals. Apparently they pay their people well enough that there aren’t even any bonuses, only yearly raises. The banking centers are only there to help their back office folks with miscellaneous tasks. If I had been chosen for this position I would of still worked very hard to bring more business in even if there were no sales goals. I have a feeling they had to interview external candidates just to have it on paper saying that it was done and completed. I for one was very upset as I waisted a lot of my time doing these interviews for nothing. Again, three interviews for a non-sales goal job position was really not necessary.
