The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Blackstone Group (New York, NY) in Feb 2016
Interview
3 different interviews. I was interviewing from NYC for London office and did 1 phone call, 2 video conferences and a maths test similar to GMAST maths, offices are beautiful and was treated friendly. 2 interviews went well but I was nervous and did not perform well on the case study, not the assessment test. test was not real estate focused but general logic questions and bond questions
Simple case study with pencil and paper requires you to calculate percentages, subtract and add quickly. You were asked about average rents, then calculate the nom of an office building, estimate construction costs, then calculate costs of a refurb, estimate future rents and rent growth, then calculate the return on the investment etc
Pymetrics games (pretty simple/you can search the games up ahead of time), then had hirevue, then 1st round with Principal. Was a pretty average interview honestly, around 30 minutes long
