I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at The Blackstone Group (New York, NY) in Aug 2020
Interview
Recruiter reached out about a remote role with Blackstone and we talked about it and decided to move forward. Then like two weeks later Blackstone decided they didn't want someone remote after all and wanted someone who could come into the office in NYC. During the worst pandemic in 100 years? No thank you.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Blackstone Group (New York, NY) in Apr 2018
Interview
I interviewed for their Innovations group, which is in a different building than Blackstone proper. The office was really great, and the process went smoothly. I did two in-person rounds and they were very accommodating with regards to changes in my schedule and timeline. Each round consisted of meeting two or three people - we talked about some of my previous projects and how I could apply some of that past experience to newer initiatives that Blackstone was planning.
