I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Blackstone Group (New York, NY)
Interview
I had worked as a temp for a few short weeks with one of the company's more senior executives. Based on my performance I was offered a permanent position. Thus my interview was more of a salary negotiation. I will say I was low balled initially but I accepted the offer with the understanding that my salary would be adjusted at the year's end. For whatever reason that actually did not take place as expected. However, I raised my concerns with my Executive, who went to HR and had my expectations met as discussed when I was initially offered the permanent position.

Interview
Felt rather impersonal but relatively standard. They emphasized the strict professional culture and office attire. I wasn't thanked for coming in, and I didn't think I was a good fit.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at The Blackstone Group
Interview
I went through a recruiter. First was a general interview with HR over the phone. My second interview I met in person with the team I would be supporting. My lady interview was over the phone with the CAO.

Interview
Numerous interviews for a pretty entry level job. The first two people I spoke to were very easy to talk to and I felt great about those interviews. When I interviewed with HR, she was awful. Not friendly, no sense of humor. Asked tough situational questions and it rattled my confidence, she even asked what my college GPA was. I ended up not being asked to continue because of mistake I knew I made when answering a question just because she got to me so badly that I started oversharing.
