I had a frustrating experience during the interview process with The Boring Company. After applying online, I was contacted by a recruiter who scheduled a 15-20 minute screening call. Unfortunately, the recruiter missed the initial call without any follow-up. I reached out to check in and see if we could reschedule. The recruiter apologized and set up another screening call, which did take place as planned.
Following the call, I sent two follow-up emails to check on the next steps, but I never received a response. It’s been over four weeks now, and I’ve yet to hear back.
I understand that hiring teams can get busy, but clear communication is important, even if it’s just to inform candidates that they’re no longer being considered. A quick update or closure email would have been greatly appreciated
