I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Buckle in Jun 2010
Interview
Applied online, got an e-mail later that day to call store to set up interview.
Went in for interview, had to wait additional fifteen minutes. I guess the manager got tied up interviewing other applicants before me. I noticed that I was overdressed (white shirt, gray slacks) as the guy before me was wearing tight black jeans and a tight black t-shirt.
Manager was nice, fairly young but I knew right away I wasn't getting this job. I'm older (early 30's) and one of the female employees called me "babe". Yeah.
Anyway, glad I didn't get offered the job as I clearly was not a fit for that store.

Question 1
Describe a time where your actions made a positive impact on someone else, whether at work or in your personal life?
Super quick and easy. The woman who interviews me was very kind and understanding to it being my first retail job. I was offered a job on the spot and was able to ask any lingering questions I had about the role and profession.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Buckle (Little Rock, AR) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very simple. No behaviour questions. It was basically all about me. We talked about hobbies, availability, college plans. It was like a fun conversation and not a hard, daunting, scary interview.

They bring you in to ask basic interview questions. Make sure you completely dress the part. I was told before the interview by an associate that I should wear clothes they sell there. She didn't go into detail but I take that as they won't hire you if you don't.
