My interview experience with Campbells was unfortunately not a positive one. I had high hopes for this role -but was not selected. I am not bothered with the fact that I was not selected - I personally hope the team found a great fit for what they were looking for. I am including this comment here because of the overall candidate experience - which I hope can be improved for future candidates.
I initially applied to an open role in Oct 2020 and had been in contact with the recruiter since mid Oct. I had an initial phone interview (which was rescheduled 2x), followed by 7 additional video interviews over the next few weeks. I will point out that the team was fantastic and I truly enjoyed the interviews. My interviews concluded in early December and after that, the lines of communication fell short.
In the weeks from December and into January & Feb, I was told (more than once) via email that I was being 'highly considered' but that it would be a few more weeks still. I continued to express my interest in the role and Company and remained patient.
I finally received an email on March 8 letting me know that they had selected another candidate. It was unfortunate to have been through 8 interviews and 20 weeks of time invested...to not even get the courtesy of a phone call. Additionally, absolutely no feedback was provided.
My advice: Remember that your candidates are people..not just numbers. Make a decision, communicate the decision, and move on. Candidates shouldn't have to go through such a lengthy process without any type of explanation/feedback at the end.
