I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Carlyle Group (New York, NY) in Oct 2016
Interview
I must say, interviewing at Carlyle was the worst interview experience of my life. The woman who met with me was very cold, curt in her responses, cut me off when I was trying to elaborate on questions she asked me, and spoke to me for all of 12 minutes. She acted as though she didn't have the time to speak to me, even though she picked my resume for an interview. I sent my thank you email and didn't hear from her again. I do know that she was (or seemed) very junior, so perhaps she is just inexperienced with interviewing. In any case, I decided that if her demeanor was any indication as to the culture at Carlyle that is an organization I do not want to be a part of. I feel sorry for those less experienced that have to interview with her, because that is not how an interview should be conducted. Totally unprofessional.

What were you making in your last role? And in each before that?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at The Carlyle Group (New York, NY)
Interview
There was one interview round where the recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. There was great communication up until the interview. He ghosted me right after and then reposted the position. Complete waste of time. It’s as if the companies are data fishing
It was honestly the most boring interview I’ve ever had. The recruiter mostly asked questions that were already answered in my resume, going through each role and asking how much time I spent on tasks like organizing meetings or handling bookings and travel. It felt a bit outdated, since interviews usually focus on things that aren’t already covered in the resume, rather than asking you to repeat what’s already written there. I realized toward the end of the interview that the company might not be the right fit for me, as I thrive in environments that value innovation
