I had a phone screen for a position a few weeks ago. She was nice enough but really focused on how many hours there were.
"We schedule you for about 50 hours".
"Hours are 8-6, M-F, with lunch from 12-1".
"You're on call from 6-9 because of other time zones we operate in" (some weekends too)
I get the need for predictability, but is it a factory? ( it isn't) I had a couple of alarms about the culture.
"Maybe you'll get to meet the owner if you interview well".
"We don't work from home, you're required to be onsite".
This type of controlling, antiquated environment isn't for me. I did not follow up and provide the very detailed resume and my schedule for the next month so they could see if their celebrity leadership team could work me in to chat.
