I never thought I would need to share a review, but I feel compelled to share my experience with others who may be interested in working for this company. I applied for a customer service position in August of 2023 and had a successful first interview with an HR recruiter. I then had a second interview with a woman who didn't turn on her camera, which I found odd, but I brushed it off. She explained that she looked a mess after being up since 6 am. I was offered the job and started in early September. Initially, everything went well. The team consisted of five women, and they were all friendly and welcoming during my first week. However, I felt that my training was being rushed. They had promised two weeks of training to learn the products, systems, and how to handle emails, chats, and phone calls. I thought this was a bit crazy, but I was determined to work hard and do my best. They asked me to work weekends and that I would work 1:30pm to 10:30 pm shift to help handle backed-up emails and chat requests. The director of the team realized that two weeks of training wouldn't be enough for me to work independently, so she asked me to continue the same training schedule until I was comfortable. I agreed. Around the third week of training, I noticed a strange vibe from the team, including the director who had interviewed me. They were constantly holding team meetings, but I was never included. I had only attended one meeting during my first week. I found it unprofessional and I didn't feel like I was part of the team. The women who had been friendly with me stopped talking to me, and my boss stopped engaging with me when I asked questions or tried to make small talk. I had a feeling that they were discussing me during these meetings, although I didn't want to jump to conclusions. I believe that the energy changed because they were expecting me to work independently after two weeks of training, but I needed more time to learn. During my first week, the team had made fun of the previous employee, including her clocking in habits and hours worked. I found this unprofessional, and it made me feel uncomfortable. I kept my opinions to myself, but I felt that it was weird for the entire team to join in and make fun of the previous employee. I decided to keep my opinions to myself just so I could fit in. On October 6th, I received a call from the director, the HR recruiter, and another woman, informing me that they no longer wanted me to work for the company. I 100% believe it was due to my learning pace and my tendency to ask questions. The company had hired me to pick up the slack on weekends and handle emails and chats during the week, but I never received proper product training. I was shocked and disappointed by their decision. When I saw the director in the group meeting, I could tell by her guilty expression that she knew what she was doing was wrong. Overall, I did not feel that the director was a nice person. I was basically hired as a weekend/weekday assistant, but it seemed like they only hired me as a backup plan. Unfortunately, I was let go because I didn't learn as quickly as they wanted me to. However, everyone learns differently, and I am a very motivated individual. It's unfair to expect me to know everything about products that I haven't received proper training on. They rescheduled my product training three times and still expected me to be an expert. Sadly, they let me go before my training in the second week of October. In hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. I didn't feel comfortable working with the group of women there. Perhaps it was for a reason, and I believe that God had a hand in removing me from that situation. I hope this honest review helps anyone considering this position. After reading other reviews, I can see that my experience is not unique, and I can definitely see why the previous girl before me left the job. It’s quite unfortunate that we now live in a time where human beings have lost their humanity, especially during these hard times. This company is not for those who are looking for a career. If are someone who learns a bit slower than others, they will get rid of you. Doesn’t matter how driven or motivated you are. Blessings to all and I wish you the best of luck in your job searches.
