I was rejected after a long 4 week process. Was emailed to set up an interview a day after application was submitted. Received phone interview by end of first week. Was told in phone interview that I would have to give up some religious observations and my current part-time job. Was promised second interview that kept getting delayed. Plans of the interview process kept being changed. Two weeks later I arrived for a second interview. Was told that the job required 25% travel (took 11 trips in 2019) despite application stating only 15%. Culture of the company was travel centered and profit centered over employee rights. Was given a tour, met co-workers, and treated like I was a top candidate, if not, the only candidate. Some unprofessional and rude statements were made during the 2nd interview (not by me). Was told at the end of 2nd interview that my interview was delayed because there were 4 other candidates that were interview that week which hurt my feelings. Was also told my candidacy would be reviewed during a lunch break. A 4-week process ended in rejection on a Friday night (the day of second interview) via email that did not explain much of why I was rejected . I would have preferred a phone call or a few days to process my second interview than to be rejected so quickly via email and after I spent 4 weeks. I wonder if some EEOC guidelines were violated in this process due to some things I did not list in this review.
