I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The GEO Group (New Castle, IN) in Jun 2012
Interview
I was brought in for an interview a week after I submitted an online application. I interviewed with the HR manager and had to answer a few questions regarding my past work and education experience. Other questions involved what I would be comfortable with, since the position has high potential to be dangerous. I was also asked to provide some examples of what I had done in the past for particular situations. The whole process lasted maybe an hour, which included the interview and filling out a paper application. I was given a call the next day and was offered a position. I came back the next week for pre-employment drug testing and a TB test.

The interview process was smooth and straightforward. Everyone was professional, friendly, and easy to talk to. The background check process was simple, and communication was clear throughout the entire hiring experience.
It was very go with the flow, nothing too hard or challenging. Just the basics to confirm your education and work background etc. Later on you're offered a conditional job offer and then you'll need to complete the medical screening as well as other steps
