Other Assistant Brand Manager Interview Reviews for The Hershey Company
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at The Hershey Company (Mumbai) in Dec 2021
Interview
The objective of the interview is to assess the candidate and not blatantly impose the recruiter's opinion on what candidate's company is doing right or wrong. It is important to stay within respectful boundaries. You may hire or reject a candidate but going beyond that is certainly not appreciated.
I could have commented on various flaws I see right now in their marketing strategy but it is unprofessional to rudely comment on anything without knowing the background. Candidate's knowledge may be limited in certain areas but the recruiter (Ankit Desai) commented on how my company wasted money on a few things but I haven't seen even a single TVC of "Hersheys" or any of its line up despite being headed by a "Know-it-all" GM. All I have seen is a billboard. I was not even aware of their brand "Jolly rancher".
Mr. Ankit Desai (sheer egotist) not just questioned my knowledge (which is OK and permissible) but also questioned the ways and means of agencies and partners involved without considering that his own knowledge could be limited. This is not just unprofessional but offensive. This speaks volumes about his rigidness to learn something new.
