Interview
Overall impression. Meh.
Applied via their website. After a few days I received an email to schedule a phone screen. Easy app to schedule in a calendar. Now comes the phone screen. I don’t know what I was expecting, I guess after prepping for the interview I expected a warm conversation about the position, the company and my experience. After all Hershey is all about the neighborhood. I was certainly let down. The phone screener went pretty much straight to the salary question and wouldn’t let it go. It didn’t make a difference that this person didn’t have any real details. They asked 3 or 4 questions straight off my resume and any questions I asked were set aside for the “recruiter” for follow up. In other words nothing to offer me. We ended the call and I had an overwhelming feeling of just talking to a telemarketer for 15 minutes. Cold, recorded, uninformative, and left wondering if I could get those 15 minutes of my life back. A week and a half later I get the thanks but no thanks letter. - no recruiter follow up to my questions..
They pretty much just based their questions off of the job posting, was just more of a screening didn’t dive into the resume. Very basic. I think it was a checking a box they already had a candidate in mind.

Interview
Had an initial phone interview that was very informal. Recruiter explained the job description to me and I walked through my resume. Told me if I passed this stage there would be another phone interview (most likely because I was from out of town) and then a formal interview at the plant. Told me I would be contacted with a decision but never followed up with me until I reached out.
