Contacted by an HR rep for a phone interview. She then coordinated the interview with Wendy Weintrabe for a CSE position. Wendy started the Teams based interview by telling me she gained 20 lbs since Covid. I was a bit taken back. She didn't ask me any questions. I had to keep asking her questions and providing her with my skills for the position. At one point she started playing with her glasses to decide if she liked them on or off. Then she caught herself. I felt like she wasn't listening and just there to go thru the motions. She said the panel interview will ask questions she doesn't. So how does someone get to the panel level interview if Wendy isn't interested in interviewing you? Since I didn't hear back from Wendy or HR either way I had to reach out to get a status update on the position. Which by the way they ended up choosing a younger less experienced internal candidate. Very poor reflection of Hershey.

Meet with the hiring manager in an informal setting and have a discussion. They would ask about when you had a difficult situation and how you handled it. Also, tell them about a time when you had a success and what you did to ensure further successes. Most Questions were in the STAR format. Situation, Task, Action, Result.
