The first step isn't a phone interview or a skype interview. Rather, they have you do a pre-recorded video interview. Regardless of the questions, this is a terrible way to start a relationship with a candidate. After submitting the recorded video, I was told I would hear back within a week. After waiting for a week, it took a follow-up call to find out that I was "not in the first round of interviews". It wasn't until several weeks beyond that that I received an email telling me I was not progressing further. Pre-recorded interviews are terrible, and tell the candidate that they may not be worth the company's time.

I interviewed at the NSHMBA conference with two Hershey HR professionals. I was asked five behavioral based questions, which required S.T.A.R. responses. Overall, the interview went well. I sent my thank you letters and follow up emails 2 weeks after the interview. Hershey could have done better responding in my opinion. Sadly, I did get a rejection email after a few weeks letting me know I didn't get the offer. I was still very impressed with Hershey and their leadership involved in the hiring process.
