Met a recruiter at my college career fair after I had graduated and applied for North Orange County. Was called for a Phone Interview and during the interview she informed me that North OC was filled and to look online and send a list of my top 5 other locations. She was also helpful because she told me to be more prepared and clear with my responses in the next phase.
All questions that you will be asked in each of the five interview phases are already listed by other reviewers on this site. I took her words of advice and also looked up all the questions they would ask. I was very well prepared and then completed the Video Interview phase even with a bad internet connection. I went onto phase three and did a Field Day and was again read up and did everything to stand out and excel. I was then contacted for a Video Interview with the hiring manager which ended up being a phone interview because of her internet connection but it went very well, again. She told me, Again, that the location had filled and another location was available. I said yes to the new location that had changed for the second time. Later I was contacted for my fifth and final interview with the Area Manager and I felt confident as I was flying through the process and never waiting longer than a day or maybe two to be contacted. My final interview was decent but kind of odd as I was dressed for the part and the manager was in a t-shirt and looked like he was just hanging out at home on his couch.
I wasn't contacted within the week they said I would have so I made a couple phone calls, leaving voicemails, and sent a few emails. They contacted me and said we're not moving you forward for this location but we recommend you move forward somewhere else so once again, I chose a new location. During my 6th interview but back to phase four, she told me the location had filled and asked if I was willing to do North OC (my original choice from a few months prior). I was now on location five and waiting to hear back for interview seven with a guy I had already interviewed with which they told me only the final two candidates make it to.
So, after being "flexible", being a top tier candidate in a location before, showing very strong dedication and desire for the job, completing six interviews, changing to five different locations, I received an email a week or two later saying, "moving forward with other candidates". The HR was extremely helpful, professional, and nice. The hiring managers were nice and polite but I know they made a large mistake by not hiring me. After all my time and effort, all I can say is, "thank you for dragging me around and wasting my time".
