I went to a group hiring at the California Employment Development Department. There were several Home Depot HR people there from different stores. The first one I talked to basically decided to hire me right then. She used her knowledge of their internal hiring and records system to "block" my application so that other stores couldn't hire me unless and until she "released" me, which she didn't do. I wound up at her store. She was the first one who lied to me about how things really work at Home Depot. Of course, I didn't know that at the time.

Great process very thorough on the expectations and simple customer service based questions. Hired on the spot. Great training and thorough communication with fellow associates and supervisors. Good benefits for part time and full time associates.

20-minute interview, asked scenario-based questions and experiences with customer service. The interview had a video call component and an in-person interview. The interview had questions about comfort with learning new programs and asked about availability.
