I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Home Depot
Interview
It's a fairly simple interview process. They just want to get a feel for the type of person you are and how you communicate with others. It was fairly short as well, a maximum of about 15 to 20 minutes.
Easy, straightforward. They're willing to train so previous experience is nice but not necessary. If you have any paint/art/design experience, it's a plus. Customer service and willingness to work is the most important aspect.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Do you have any relevant experience? Why the paint department?
Fair, hiring manager was nice, didn’t ask very many questions, the interview took maybe around 30 minutes. I was offered the job right afterwards and accepted. Overall a good experience there
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Evans, GA) in Dec 2024
Interview
The process was easy and not so formal. Even with the interview, they gave me a sense of familiarity with the company. I have always been a shopper, but after interviewing, I wanted to become an associate.
