Candidates have to go through "RMA"—Retail Management Assessment—and are graded on how well they perform/score on the series of tests given. The scores consist of three colors: green (pass), yellow (pass/fail) and red (fail). There are multiple categories involved that cover a broad assortment of the retail environment. After you've completed RMA, if you've scored high enough, you're placed on the "slate" to be interviewed for openings. Your score is visible only to those in areas (cities, states, etc.) you've made yourself available in, so if you're willing to relocate your chances of being interviewed are greater. If you are called upon to interview, it will entail a sit down interview with the store manager of the store that has an opening, as well as either a District Human Resource Manager or fellow store manager. After the interview, they contact the candidates who are not selected first, so if several days have passed and you have yet to hear anything, your chances are good.
