I applied online. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Newburgh, NY) in Apr 2010
Interview
Applied online and received a call back 2 months later. When I went for the interview, the human resources manager asked me the basic questions you hear: why did you choose to apply here? What experience do you have that might work here too? Describe a time that you resolved a difficult situation. I was so nervous because it was my first interview that I stuttered a lot and barely kept eye contact. The hiring manager was nice and patient with me and practically spoon fed me the type of answers I should give. But I did get that job.... Sad to say this was so long ago that he's not working there anymore. I think he left for a better job. But he was liked, so he wasn't fired if that's what you're thinking.
just a conversation with the HR team, asked the basic questions and nothing to stressful. they made the process very easy and the interview was actually truely with only one single person
5 minutes not even an interview just acceptance. I walked in and they said when can you start and if I can submit to a drug test and background check I said yes and left.

Interview
The interview process was a friendly and professional experience overall. The managers are nice and accommodating to students at least at this location as I was a current student at Oregon state university and needed to work around a college schedule.
