A Senior HR Recruiter has contacted me via email following my application. We had a 15-minute phone talk (general screen) and she said that she will pass my application to the hiring manager. I followed up a week later and she told me that they are just about to finish the first screening round and she will get back to me next week with update and feedback. A whole month has passed with no follow up. Very unprofessional! I don't understand why its so difficult to finalize the process with a single line email - "thank you for your interest... bla bla bla... I had higher expectations from an establishment like the Jackson Lab, but I suppose all companies practice the same disrespectful approach toward applicants. Lesson learned.
