Following applying, I received one phone interview. The interview seemed to go well, I felt my personality meshed well the the person I spoke with and the questions were easy for me to answer. I was assured I would be in touch with within a couple of weeks. After several weeks of not hearing back, I sent a follow up email requesting an update. That email never received a response. Now it is 4 months later of not hearing back. If they read this, please note that the closure of rejection is far better than being ghosted. I want to work for someone that values communication. I had to ask several people to submit recommendation letters on my behalf and it is quite disheartening to have them ask me for updates and tell them that I never even heard back after the interview, which seemed to have gone well.
