Interview
I applied for a product manager position with TKWW in early June. It wasn't until mid-August that I was contacted by a recruiter for a screening call. I was told my information was going to be passed to the VP of Product (the hiring manager) and to follow-up in a couple of weeks. Two weeks pass and I follow up. The recruiter sets up a video call with the hiring manager for the following week.
The video call with the the hiring manager went well. She explained the position was a difficult post to fill and that they had been searching for quite some time to fill it because they needed someone who had strategy experience, particularly that with a double-sided marketplace. As I am a former founder of an online marketplace that had similar strategic constraints I was able to easily answer a number of strategy questions.
However, at the end of the 45 minute conversation, the hiring manager dropped the bombshell that they had already decided on another candidate prior to my interview and were in the process of extending the interview.
I really don't know why I was interviewed, except, to poach ideas on strategy. It was incredibly disingenuous to waste my time, energy and excitement about the position when the hiring manager had already completed paperwork to hire another candidate prior to even speaking with mr (she quite literally told me this). It is an experience that I wouldn't wish for other candidates to go through. It was also quite odd that it took the company 3 months to decide to interview me.

Interview
I applied online, and i received an email from the HR to set up the first screening call. On the day of the call, no one turned up, then i received an email apologizing and asking to reschedule. I rescheduled and on the day of the interview, it was simply CANCELLED by the interviewer, with no message asking to reschedule or a follow-up email. Thats just disrespectful.

The interview process was great. I got to meet many different members on the team. They were all very friendly and asked great questions. It really seems like a great place to work with a very exciting culture. Talent Acquisition was also very helpful and engaged throughout the process.
