I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (Columbus, OH) in Mar 2013
Interview
The hiring and interview process was very simple. However, I already knew the PI for this position as he was a current graduate professor. So I simply met with him and discussed the position, then was formally offered. I did have some trouble dealing with the ID process at the medical center. They seemed a little bit unorganized, but in their defense they had just moved locations and were dealing with a massive hospital construction process.

Group interview with 6 lab members at once. Pretty straightforward questions. Nothing too difficult, heard back within a week. A little intimidating to interview with so many people at once but felt more like a conversation than interview.
