The Pokémon Company International Senior Software Engineer interview questions

Interview Difficulty is easy with a caveat. You must be great at social interaction, have a overall collaborative view on project work (team player), and genuinely be passionate about what you do. It's likely if you have a "go it alone" attitude, you may struggle. The Process was: 1) Initial Recruiter Screening 2) Interview with the role's direct manager (Asks for background and high-level technical questions about the role) 3) Follow-up call from the recruiter for more feedback and next steps in process 4) Prep call with recruiter a day or so before onsite to prepare you for success 5) 6 hour onsite (Zoom call during Covid) with various groups of people of different backgrounds (Producers, Engineers, HR, heads of the studio). Each group's interview round can be from 30-60 minutes. The recruiters and everyone at the studio wants you to succeed in the process, so they are very responsive and helpful the whole time. They go over every detail with you to set you up for success.

Recruiter was very nice over the phone, made a very big show about how well the company treats all its employees, and I had what seemed like a good interview on site. I was promised feedback by the end of the week, then the following Monday. After that, I didn't hear a thing at all. I sent follow-up emails and the recruiter never replied. I eventually got through to him by phone more than a week after the interview, only to be told that they'd gone with someone else. The recruiter then said he would send more detailed feedback later that day. Never heard from him again. Of course I was disappointed with not getting the job, but seriously, it is just plain rude and unprofessional to ghost your candidates like that. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend interviewing here.
