      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at The Salvation Army (Saint Louis, MO) in Dec 2014

      Interview

In one word- long. From the first interview to hired was three months. Step 1 was phone interview with HR. Step 2 was face to face interview with hiring manager who asked about 5 standard questions that seem to be created by HR. Step 3 was face interview with the executive director of development department. Step 4 was face interview with the divisional commander (ceo). If move forward, step 5 is to do personality, reasoning, and math tests at home, abut 2-4 hours worth. Step 6 is a flight to Chicago, IL to interview at the territory headquarters who is responsible for the planned giving counselor funding. There are at least two people to interview with there. First is the planned giving consultant. Next is half a day with a licensed professional counselor. Who will go over your test results and test you more and assess your emotional maturity level. Step 7, hiring manager in st. Louis will call to let you know whether you've been chosen and make an offer.
