I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Lafayette, LA) in Sep 2013
Interview
I emailed my resume and they got back to me a couple weeks later. They scheduled an interview in the afternoon. The interviewer asked to know a little more about me and my interests. The program director explained exactly what the job entails. We talked about salary and schedules. After the interview they told me they would contact me sometime during the next week if I got hired or not.
It was a panel interview. I think there was only one interview. They asked questions and I was able to get a good understanding of the role and what the job could entail.
Got asked about what 3 items I would take with me on an abandoned island, other than that they asked really long questions about company values and situations where I demonstrated that.
Very easy! You will meet with the leaders of the camp to go over your qualifications and expectations. You will talk about schedules for the summer as well! Be prepared to talk about your experience with kids
