I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thermo Systems (East Windsor, NJ) in Feb 2014
Interview
I applied through a campus career site. Received a phone call a few days later to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was very easy, just simple questions about a resume. 2 days later I was contacted about coming to the office in East Windsor, NJ for an in person interview. This was one of the most difficult interviews I had ever been though. I met with two director's of engineering and got asked many questions about previous project experiences I had, they gave me a quiz (fortunately I was allowed to use my phone to look up formulas and calculate) it was all pretty basic engineering questions, mostly fluid dynamics & thermodynamics. Next, they sat me down in front of a computer and had me work on an AutoCAD drawing. Then I sat down with HR and we had a conversation for a few minutes.
2 weeks later I was contacted for a 3rd interview. This one was with two directors and was not nearly as difficult. They mostly asked about my background and why I was interested in the position, etc. I received an email a week later notifying me that I did not get the position.

I applied online. I interviewed at Thermo Systems in Apr 2026
Interview
I received an email asking for my availability within the next 2–3 business days for an interview, and I replied the same day. I did not receive a response until two business days later, around 5 PM. We then scheduled an online interview for the next day, and I received a reminder from the recruiter two hours beforehand.
I joined the interview early, but no one attended for the full 30-minute scheduled time. I sent a follow-up email afterward and have still not received any response several weeks later. Even if they decided to move forward with another candidate, a brief update or communication would have been appreciated.
I applied online. I interviewed at Thermo Systems (East Windsor, NJ) in Jul 2025
Interview
I had three rounds of interviews, with the final one being in the office. They were normal interviews with standard questions. There were also a couple assessments in the final round for very basic engineering problems and reading charts.
I applied online. I interviewed at Thermo Systems (Henderson, NV) in May 2025
Interview
Had a call with HR first, then had a 40-50 min teams interview with the hiring manager, then was invited on site for the final set of interviews where a few different people interviewed me including the hiring manager. Was a good experience overall.
