      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at ThermoWorks in Jul 2024

      Interview

I applied online through their website, I was contacted by the HR recruiter. 1st interview by phone (30 min) 2nd interview in person (1 hour) after the 2nd interview I waited 2 days until they told me they decided to pursue another candidate who they feel is best qualified.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

This company it seems like they don’t know what they are looking for, for sure they are not looking for someone with great customer service experience, they are looking for someone who loves to cook it. The first interview was good but the 2nd one it was 1 hour, they seemed interested in me but it looks like they weren’t impressed by my customer service experience at all, I have experience in culinary arts but they weren’t impressed by that either and I mentioned I’m a mom and I cook all the time, for sure learn A LOT about their thermometers before going to the interview like A LOT. At 2nd interview 3 people will interview you which I don’t understand IT’S A CUSTOMER SERVICE JOB! The interviewers seemed interested in me but I WAS wrong. They send this “ We did have several highly qualified candidates for the position and it has been a difficult decision, but we have chosen to pursue another candidate who we feel is best qualified.” but they still have the position up on their website. If you are bilingual which I think is always a plus it seems like for them it’s a disadvantage because they said they don’t need someone who is bilingual. They recently added to their job description ABOUT the cooking part. But I think it was a waist of my time for 1 hour interview at their office for a customer service job.

I interviewed at ThermoWorks (American Fork, UT)

      Interview

Phone, then in-person with a few people. It took about 2 hours when I came in-person. The building was nice, the people were friendly and there were plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
