Assessment day
The assessment day is very long 8:30 - 17:00
Innovation Pitch - come up with a business idea that can help TR expand. You will be asked questions on how this will work. Integral to understand how this will integrate into TR current business.
Virtual Reality. - you will place the goggles on and have to complete tasks within a virtual reality room with 2 assessors watching you.
Two tasks:
Conveyor belt - this task is about how much you challenge yourself, speed it up as much as you can to try and test yourself
Ten test in a room - this will be a room filled with small challenges e.g. building house of cards, how many windows on the empire state building, building tower from 30 blocks, naming capital cities, saying fruit and vegetables beginning with A, B, C.
- as you can see it isn't about the task itself but looking assessing the room staying calm and working out a sensible way of dealing with the tasks.
Group tasks x2
there is one group task where you will be taken off into a sperate room away from the group and have to ask questions for 10minutes (make sure you have a constant and sensible line of questioning). You will then have to go back into the room and report back to the group what your findings are. They will do the same and then you will have to present the information back to assessors.
2nd Group Task - Location Task
You will have 10 minutes to work out which 5 countries TR should set up a new super office. This task is made slightly harder by the addition of cards with political and economic information on them to help/ make it more difficult to choose which location. You will have 5 minutes to present your findings back with 5 people. Therefore 1minute each. Make sure everyone speaks and this is discussed during the preparation of which countries you are going to pitch to the assessors
Angry Client Task
You will be taken off into a room showing a brief that you will have to read for about 20minutes. Then an assessor will come in pretending to be a client that isn't happy with the service they are receiving. Stay calm and go through all of the information in the brief breaking down all of the information that is given to you and try and reach an agreement with the client. It is very important that you reach some sort of agreement.
Final Presentation - This presentation is given in front of all assessors I think about 24 in all.
It is daunting to enter a room full of this many people but you will have 5minutes to sell yourself and why you are the person to get the job. Be passionate clear and make sure that you say why you are right for the job rather than the other way around.

Interview
The interview process puts a candidate to the test and is not for the faint hearted. With interviews, presentations and simulations all included candidates are stretched, making it a good process for finding the best person. Having said that, everyone at the assessment is extremely friendly and welcoming which helps settle nerves.
