      Customer Success Manager Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ThoughtExchange (London, ON) in Dec 2021

      Interview

One of the best interview processes I've come across. In all, there were about 4 rounds: Meeting with the HR Meeting with the Team Lead and Director of Customer Success 2 Meetings with other CS team members All the interviewers were amazing to talk to - very kind, understanding and intelligent. I've had some of the most enlightening CS conversations with this team and I was told they felt likewise. There was a lot of transparency in terms of talking about the role, team structure, how things are done now and what their vision is. Very quick turnaround between interviews - I usually had next steps outlined on the same day. All interviewers provided constructive feedback. I truly enjoyed the interview process and have nothing negative to say at all. Unfortunately, I did not accept the offer at this time, but would love to work with this incredible team in the future.

4 separate interviews, HR then department heads, over the span of 6 weeks. Tough to stay in tune with but overall was not a bad experience. Very nice people and asked great questions.

      Interview

Not a good interview experience. The people I interviewed with seemed very nice, and they were positive, but I went through 4 or 5 different panel interviews because of something called 'Agreement Culture' so everybody on their team gets a say. It actually seemed like if there was even one person who didn't like the way you interviewed, they could veto your entire process. I started out very excited about working for this company and by the end I was actually relieved I didn't get an offer because it was an exhausting process. I was asked the same questions in each interview (minimum 50-60 minutes each) and eventually felt like they weren't believing my answers and that I was being fact-checked at each step. I'm sure if you already work there it's great but it was not an inviting newcomer experience. I would only recommend applying to this company if you have time to casually look for a job because the process will take forever and you may leave with nothing, even if they tell you you're extremely qualified for the job.
