The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thumbtack
Interview
One round of data challenge, one round of phone interview talking about how you do machine learning project. Full day onsite interview. The experience was great but beware of a female data scientist. She was sooooooo mean and rude. She thought she knew everything and assumed candidates was not "TRUE" data scientists. I don't think you will enjoy working with such a pretentious person. I'm curious how those other nice people in Thumbtack can put up with her.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A/B testing, how to design a machine learning system
Recruiter introduced the team and the company, as well as the hiring process. He did not ask me to go through my resume or have any background questions for me.
Phone Interview: it began from hiring manager introducing herself, then walking through my experience, and ending with me asking questions. The whole process is respectful and full of questions. However, in the process I realized the team's focus was on pricing, an area that isn't my strength.
