It was an on campus interview at IIT Bhubaneswar which went for 45 minutes. They had shortlisted 70 students after the aptitude & coding round. For each of those 70 students, they conducted a 45 minute interview in which they were testing coding & analytical skills through programming, puzzles, probability & statistics questions. Some of the students were asked about different ML/DL algorithms, internships & projects but my interview was totally focussed on Programming, Puzzles, Probability & Statistics.

1. Given an integer array, find k’th largest element in the array where k is a positive integer less than or equal to the length of array.
2. Program to print Fibonacci series upto nth term ( n will be the input ).
3. Program to check if the given number is armstrong number or not.
4. Find the probability of atleast 2 tails in 5 tosses of a coin.
5. How many times will the hour & minute hand of a clock coincide in a day ?
6. Probability of having 5 sundays in a month of 31 days ?
7. Suppose there are 500 students and you know the height of 450 students & using this data you want to predict the heights of rest 50 students. What will be your approach ?
8. I answered the above question without taking gender ( M or F) into consideration. So he asked me to answer after considering it.
9. Suppose you are recording your height every year since you were in 1st standard but forget to record it when you were in 7th standard. How will you calculate your height at 7th std ?

Round 0: online test on find the p value, z score, and data science related conceptual questions , python code snippets. And 2 python coding problem(solve all easy level questions on leetcode especially on strings and lists)No questions on SQL. Round 1: about recent project and questions on every single line is code in that project and again 2 live coding problem on string and list. Round 2: very disappointed with the panel of this round, very tough questions on logistic and linear regression, The mathematics behind those models

What’s the mathematics behind logistic regression, how to evaluate multiple classification output, explain every evaluation metric of GLM and OLS method, like what’s Pseudo R-square, F statistic, AIC, BIC, Durbin Watson, Jarque bera and again 2 live python coding questions and even after producing the required output he asked to further simply. These questions were asked in 2nd round, I was stunned with the level of questions for a senior data analyst role, I can understand if these were asked for senior data scientist position, my bad luck, failed in 2nd round
