Written test: Time: 40 min. No of Questions: There were two section in the test. In first section there were 20 aptitude based MCQs. Second section consist of 10 coding MCQs relating to input/output and basic programming knowledge. Difficulty: The level of the questions was moderate. Interview: Day3(Slot1) First Round: This round was to check my programming skills and problem solving approach. 1)It all started with my resume and tell me about yourself. 2)He asked me questions from my internship which I told him. Like what did you learn from your internships. And Question about competitor analysis. 3)He asked questions from my ML project. 4)Write a python program for KNN algorithm. But I didn't know it. So I said that I can implement through sklearn library. But He wanted me to write code in python. Then I argued him saying that there is no need to learn codes. All scripts are available online and we just need to know how it works. Library are built to make things easier. He was completely enraged with me and asked me to explain sklearn. 5)Write a pseudo code for finding shortest distance between the two given words in an array of n number of words. Ask me optimum approach. 6)Ask me to explain Random Forest algorithm. But funny thing is that I explained him Decision Tree. Meanwhile we both started smiling at each other and I said I forgotten random forest. He smiled. This round last for around 40 to 45 min then he told me with smile, "Bhavesh kabhi kabhi kuch code yaad rakh lene chahiye!smile" and then sent me to the next round. Second Round: This was to check my analytical and communications skills. This round last for around 45 min. The interviewer was company's VP of Data Science and he was a very dynamic personality. It all started with my resume and tell me about yourself. 1)Asked me what is my views on Data and how it has changed the world. 2)Asked me about my startup which I mentioned in resume. 3)Asked me about key performance matrices for eCommerce market. 4)Calculate Market size for Indian grocery market. 5)Asked me a few questions relating to statistics and data cleaning. 6)Do you have any question for me. (Never say No and listen to it carefully. They might ask you further on whatever they told you) I asked being a vice president of the data science what are the daily challenges you faces at your work and about what specific skills or expertise you want me to learn which will be helpful for me when I would join the company.
