The process was less “world’s fastest-growing app” and more bureaucratic waiting room with no receptionist.
It actually began well. The first recruiter was polished, kind, and gave me a fair second chance at a different role. Credit where it’s due — she was professional. Then came the second recruiter, and that’s where the circus began. Imagine handing the baton in a relay race and watching someone trip, drop it, and then walk off the track entirely. That was her.
No acknowledgment of my thank-you email. No updates. No accountability. Just dead air, until one day — surprise! — an automated rejection dropped in my *wrong* inbox. Not even the courtesy of pressing “send” themselves. Truly, HR incompetence at the highest standard.
The panel interview itself was decent — the leads were fine. But the surrounding process? Chaotic, careless, and disorganized. If TikTok wants Quality Assurance in candidates, maybe they should start with Quality Assurance in recruitment.
