I applied online. I interviewed at TikTok in Apr 2021
Interview
My first interview was peer interview. I was not informed by HR that is going to be peer interview. I thought the person was the hiring manager as I was not informed.
During the interview, the person kept questioning that why I want to leave my corporate role. I can not be a fit for them as I am working for a big corporation.
I answered all his questions related with TikTok however he insisted that many people did not adopt start up environment if they are coming from a big corporate. He was very bias about this topic.
Guess what? I did not get the second round.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Warsaw, Masovia) in May 2020
Interview
Interview process was very chaotic even as expected for rapidly growing company. Hiring team was not fully owning the process which was causing additional delays in discussion. Team engaged in the process, in my opinion, not fully in understanding of whom and for what activities they are looking for.
