I applied online. I interviewed at Tillys (Orlando, FL) in May 2017
Interview
I applied online and got scheduled for an interview a week later. It was a group interview and they asked pretty simple "ice breaker" questions like "what are your hobbies, favorite brands, etc". Then we were asked about different Customer related scenarios such as what to do when you have an angry customer. Afterwards, the manager pulled me aside and made me speak to another manager. I was asked more questions about Customer scenarios and then they made me approach a random person in the store and pretend I was already an employee. I did it and afterwards they explained that they liked that I could easily approach customers and was verbally offered the job. Overall it was a pretty laid back process.
It was held as a group interview, fairly easy. The hardest part was the sales pitch for an item in the store. Everyone in the group answered the same questions one at a time. There were around 6-8 people in each group.
Super calm and friendly! Felt like such a nice conversation and felt like I was part of the team already, they really listened to me. I felt like they wanted me to succeed and I did!

Question 1
If an item isn’t selling, how would you ensure it did?
Occurred in a group setting. I always recommend being very respectful, do not speak over others, but when you can add after another interviewees turn, try to include your own response.
