I applied in-person. I interviewed at Tillys (Albuquerque, NM) in May 2021
Interview
In person I asked if they were hiring, and manager seemed very excited for me to apply. Applied online, and got a phone call to come in and do an interview. Came in the day of the interview, but the hiring manager was a no show. I was told she would call to reschedule, but she never did. I ended up calling multiple times, and ended up doing an "interview" with a regular employee. She didn't even know what to ask me, then I never heard from them again.
It was held as a group interview, fairly easy. The hardest part was the sales pitch for an item in the store. Everyone in the group answered the same questions one at a time. There were around 6-8 people in each group.
Super calm and friendly! Felt like such a nice conversation and felt like I was part of the team already, they really listened to me. I felt like they wanted me to succeed and I did!

Question 1
If an item isn’t selling, how would you ensure it did?
Occurred in a group setting. I always recommend being very respectful, do not speak over others, but when you can add after another interviewees turn, try to include your own response.
