I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tillys (Los Angeles, CA) in Jun 2014
Interview
Awful, it was a "group interview" 20 or so teenagers standing around shouting out answers the interviewers questions, she picks like 5 people and tell the rest to leave. The 5 go and pick outfits that match around the store. I'm glad I didn't end up getting the job, everyone I've known who has worked there has not liked it.
It was held as a group interview, fairly easy. The hardest part was the sales pitch for an item in the store. Everyone in the group answered the same questions one at a time. There were around 6-8 people in each group.
Super calm and friendly! Felt like such a nice conversation and felt like I was part of the team already, they really listened to me. I felt like they wanted me to succeed and I did!

Question 1
If an item isn’t selling, how would you ensure it did?
Occurred in a group setting. I always recommend being very respectful, do not speak over others, but when you can add after another interviewees turn, try to include your own response.
