Interview
- Interview with a recruiter
- Interview with hiring manager
- Technical interview
I went through 3 rounds before being told they were moving in another direction. While the recruiter was lovely, the technical interview was insane for a role in media.
Basically, you hop on a call and are told you can't use excel, Google sheets, or even a calculator. You are then fed a bunch of numbers for a fake client verbally over the call. You then need to write down all these numbers and then work through calculations as questions come to you.
This is all by hand. I have worked in media for years and have never had to calculate multiple calculations without a calculator with no prior knowledge of the client.
This wasn't for an analyst role, so I don't understand the need to do mental math in real time to prove my value as a people manager and media Manager.
