Interviews with the Manager and then a panel interview with the team.
Questions were easy, some technical, some behavioral. Much of the time spent talking of past experiences.
The reason I turned down the offer is because there was a major red flag with this company. They said they would have me work remote, then they said the wanted me to come onsite once a month to work for a week. I live 300 miles away so I said no way Jose. 3 or so weeks go by I've already accepted another job and they came back and said okay we change our mind you can work remote and in 8 months we want you working full time on site.
Hey Leadership team at Toray, there's a reality you guys are refusing to accept. This job has no requirement to be onsite to succeed in. I'm not a factory work or some sales person. I don't need one of you breathing down my neck while I work, why hire someone if you can't trust them to get the job done? Seems redundant. Until your archaic practices change you will never fill this role with someone even remotely competent. The market has more demand than supply and you have no leverage. Your recruiter expressed the same sentiment.
