Torii Operations interview questions

Odd experience. Recruiting reached out via LinkedIn. I interviewed with recruiting and it generally went well - nice conversation, interesting company background, job fit, etc. One red flag was salary was well below market, but when I asked what made Torii special I was given a wonderful answer about the culture, empowerment, impact, equity, etc. so decided to continue on in the process. Recruiting said they would be in touch by EOD to schedule time for the following week. Recruiting did not get in touch by EOD - all good, people get busy! They got in touch the following week asking for immediate availability the following day. Obviously, I did not have availability the day after receiving the email from recruiting given I am working a full time job, but moved some things around on my calendar and scheduled some time for the day after. Unfortunately, due to some personal circumstances, I had to cancel my interview and communicated to recruiting that I would not be available for the rest of the week. Recruiting followed up with an email asking for more availability during the same day as my original interview even though I had stated I needed to cancel for the week. When I did not respond, I received one of those automated emails from Greenhouse stating they would not be moving forward with my application, but thanking me for applying. All very odd because I never applied - they came after me. Also, I had direct communication with recruiting, so if our timelines did not match up, it would have been easy to just tell me so. Finally, for a company that tried to sell me on having a 'great culture,' it seems a but odd to axe someone when they need to reschedule.
