Applied on Linked-in, received an email the following day instructing me to apply through the TQL website. A day later I received a phone call to schedule a 30 minute phone interview for the following morning. I was told to prepare a 2-3 minute sales pitch on anything. The phone interview was on a Friday. That following Monday I was contacted to set up an onsite interview. I scheduled my interview for the next week since I was out of town. For the onsite interview, I was given a tour then asked to complete 2 online modules; one gave an overview of the position and then a quiz on computer basics and basic geography, the second module was a bit more information about the position and compensation. Simple and informative but the modules had reference files that I was not given access to, I was told to just guess on those questions and move on, not sure how (or if) they accounted for that when looking at the completed score. After finishing the modules I had the opportunity to sit with an employee who has been with the company for over a year and then another who is still in training. I thought that was great, I really had the opportunity to see the day to day operations. I personally could see myself excelling at this sort of position and found this portion of the interview exciting but I could definitely see this turning people off to the idea of working for TQL. I then had 2 separate interviews, the first just going over the same things that were covered in the phone interview and then the second pretty much just went through my resume. As others had said, they seemed to be hung up on mapping out how I had spent my years prior to applying for this position which seemed odd. Considering the obvious turn-over they have I wouldn't think they would care about brief employment in the past and also the job is really about cold calls, sales, and relationships so I figured they would want to know more about me as an applicant and how I would approach the position rather than what I did 8 or 10 years ago when I was in my very early 20s. I felt that everybody was welcoming and nice. Nothing intimidating and standard "interview questions."
