Interview
Too many companies have been ghosting candidates and TotalMed is one of them. Right now, it’s an employers market (especially for recruiters) and there is an abundance of talented recruiters looking for jobs with layoffs, especially in tech.
I don’t typically leave reviews but these companies need to be humbled, held accountable, and others should know what they’re getting themselves into.
If a company treats candidates this way, they will not treat their employees well. As a recruiter myself, I have never ghosted a candidate and if there was a gap in communication, it was always followed by an apology.
It’s an employers market now but eventually it will be a candidates market. I hope this company learns from its mistakes now so they can improve for the future when it will be a candidates market again.
The details: I was scheduled to speak with someone in Pittsburgh and never received a call. I emailed him to follow up and was ghosted. Today, I received a rejection email.
One phone call with manager for 20 or so minutes. Called the next day and offered the role - was a bit surprised because I am used to multiple interviews.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at TotalMed Staffing (Appleton, WI) in Jul 2024
Interview
Chatted with corporate recruiter. Went into office and interviewed with team lead and director. Then Job shadowed for the position. The interview with the lead and director was very conversational and they asked questions about myself and my past work experience.

Interview process was completed, all 3 rounds, great feedback and report with the healthcare team. Ghosted after the third interview. This is not acceptable and I hope they change that.
