I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us (Wesley Chapel, FL) in Oct 2011
Interview
I applied online and got a call about a week later. They asked me a few questions on the phone making sure I had open availability and all that jazz. Then the scheduled the interview for the next day. I went in and sat in a room with two other people. When they called us back we sat at a table and they talked to us a bit. We started out with an icebreaker, we had to tell them our name age and favorite toy, either now or as a child. I suggest using a specific toy from childhood. Then they made us put a puzzle together as a group. I suppose to see what kind of team player we are. Also they asked us to sell the puzzle to them. It's nearly vital to say the age range. Then they asked us about how we would handle upselling their credit card and how we would handle angry customers. Then asked why should they hire us. Also they asked us to use a word to describe ourselves with. After that they sent us back out and then called us one by one for an individual interview.
The individual interview wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be. They asked me a few more questions more or less about the holiday season since the job is seasonal. Then straight up offered me the job. Which was great! I accepted since I had been looking for a job all year, and I always wanted a little job at toys r us.

Geoffrey was attentive and kind. Guided me through the whole catalog. Would recommend him all the time, every time to whomever will listen. He took the time to explain the great deals.
