The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us in Nov 2011
Interview
I showed up dressed in a skirt, little jacket, and pointy 2in heels at 3:45 for a 4 o'clock interview. I was the first one to arrive out of a group of 4. The others, who were 35-50, showed up in jeans and hoodies. The HR woman took us to the backroom and gave us a general spiel about the company. We then had to go around and introduce ourselves and say our favorite toy to play with as a kid. She told us about their warranty and we then had to pick out a toy and tell her the reasons that she would need a warranty if she were to buy it. We then had to pass our toys around and tell what were two other accessories in the store that would go with our toy, such as batteries or clothes or darts. 1:1 interviews were next and they were all very basic questions: Why ToysRUs? What's your biggest weakness? What didn't you like about your last job, blah blah blah. It took about 5 minutes. I got a call 3 hours later saying that I got the job.
