I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us (San Diego, CA) in Oct 2009
Interview
I applied online. A couple days later I went in and asked if they were hiring and they said yes, hiring manager said to call later that day when they were looking at applications. Called later and got an interview. Week later I had a group interview with 14 other people. Had to say our name and an adjective that had the first letter of our first name that described us. After that we picked out a toy and had to "sell" it. Then, took toilet paper and for each one we got had to tell something about ourselves. Next we had one on one's with the hiring manager which took 10 minutes. The usual questions, availability, what did you learn from your last job, what is your greatest weakness. Few hours later got a call from hiring manager for second interview the next day with the general manager. He asked why do you want to work here, duties of last job. Fairly basic questions. Never got called back so Im geussing i didnt get hired.
Super nice and friendly interviewer. They told me about the company and the position and asked a few questions. They also let me ask some questions at the end as well
Geoffrey was attentive and kind. Guided me through the whole catalog. Would recommend him all the time, every time to whomever will listen. He took the time to explain the great deals.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us (London, England)
Interview
Standard interview with competency questions, especially communication skills, and gauging if candidate would be a good fit for the company culture. After the interview received a call within 2 weeks.
