I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us in Nov 2009
Interview
Applied online to Babies r us, but got a call from their partner, toys r us. Because i read an interview review from here, i was able to prepare for the nerve racking "group" interview. I was the earliest.
There were 5 other people there, and we sat around a table, introduced ourselves, and put together an upside down puzzle.
We were then given a product to "sell" to the managers. I didnt do well in this area, because i thought we'd be able to choose our own item but i blindely chose an item from a bag to sell and froze up when i did my sales pitch.
They then did the 1:1 interviews and asked about past work experience, strengths and weaknesses, availability, etc.
I was hired then, on the spot. As long as the Background check comes back OK, they'll start me this week.
Super nice and friendly interviewer. They told me about the company and the position and asked a few questions. They also let me ask some questions at the end as well
Geoffrey was attentive and kind. Guided me through the whole catalog. Would recommend him all the time, every time to whomever will listen. He took the time to explain the great deals.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us (London, England)
Interview
Standard interview with competency questions, especially communication skills, and gauging if candidate would be a good fit for the company culture. After the interview received a call within 2 weeks.
