I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us (Mesa, AZ) in Oct 2010
Interview
Got a call from the hiring manager asking to set up a date to take a group interview. Showed up went to the breakroom with about six other people. Got split into two teams then each team was given a bucket of random toys, like legos and kinects and stuff that like that. Each team was assigned to build a new toy and attempt to sell it to the managers. Then got asked questions like "What do you like to do?" "What do you do in your free time?" and "Why Toys "R" Us?" Finally asked everyone to wander the store and find a toy they would suggest for someone that is looking for a kid's birthday party.
Super nice and friendly interviewer. They told me about the company and the position and asked a few questions. They also let me ask some questions at the end as well
Geoffrey was attentive and kind. Guided me through the whole catalog. Would recommend him all the time, every time to whomever will listen. He took the time to explain the great deals.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Toys "R" Us (London, England)
Interview
Standard interview with competency questions, especially communication skills, and gauging if candidate would be a good fit for the company culture. After the interview received a call within 2 weeks.
